Automatically sets the parking
brake if the driver exits the vehicle
Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems’
Intellipark Automatic Parking Brake
Technology helps drivers prevent rollaway and
runaway crashes caused by an improperly set or
disengaged parking brake. Intellipark replaces the
manual air parking brake with easy-to-apply electronic
switches. The system is designed to automatically
set the parking brake if the driver exits
the vehicle without engaging the brake. Intellipark
works through interlocks installed in critical areas,
such as the seat, seat belt or cab door – engaging
the brake if the driver leaves the seat or opens the
door without setting it first. The system is designed
for any air-braked vehicle, including tractor-trailers,
single-unit trucks, motorcoaches and school buses.

LED lighting allows for quick recognition
of a successful or failed coupling
The SAF-Holland ELI-te (Electronic Lock Indicator technology
enhanced) Fifth Wheel Coupling Assistant is an
automatic LED lighting system to allow quick recognition of
a successful or failed coupling attempt between a tractor
and a trailer. With the system, drivers no longer need to
guess on the success of a couple, says the company. A successful
coupling triggers white LED lights, providing illumination
of the fifth wheel lock to assist the driver with visual
lock inspection prior to performing a tug test. These lights
shine for five minutes. ELI-te is available as an integrated
option on the Holland FW35 Series Fifth Wheels, and is
available for FW31 and FW33 Series Fifth Wheels.

Kit includes two adjustable discs
The Mueller-Kueps Air Brake Piston Resetter,
No. 468 026, helps alleviate the issue of finding the
correct reset disc when resetting brake pistons. This
kit comes with two adjustable discs. The 2-pin disc
and 3-pin disc are both made from durable steel,
designed to accommodate almost every brake piston.
This tool works for both left and right threaded
pistons. To use, simply place the disc against the
brake pistons and rotate the basic unit until the pins
fit into the bores. Then attach the discs by way of
strong magnets nestled in the head of the resetter.
The compressed air provides a constant pressure
and will not damage the thread in the brake piston.

Single drive axle for Class 7 and 8 vehicles
The Spicer S172 Series Single Drive Axle for Class 7 and 8 vehicles, available
from Dana, retains the robustness and strength of the existing S170 single
drive axle, but weighs more than 60 lbs less. The axle is
available in 4x2, 6x2, and 8x2 configuration up to
25,000 lbs GAWR. It offers a broad range of gear
ratios, from 3.07 to 6.14, and features a low hypoid
offset with High-Power Density AdvanTEK
gearing to drive maximum efficiency. The
high-strength pinion bearings allow for greater
lifespan under heavy loads, improving durability and
overall performance. A passive lube management system requires less lube while utilizing a
patented meter to optimize the amount of lube flow to the high-efficiency bearings.

Corrosion-resistant bead plate
components for longer service life
The Meritor Line of Aftermarket Replacement
Air Springs covers a wide variety of OEM specifications.
Designed and engineered for high efficiency,
Meritor aftermarket air springs minimize vibrations,
reducing downtime and maintenance, as well as
potential damage to ancillary components. These
air springs feature exceptional corrosion resistance,
with a trivalent chromium coating on the bead
plate to provide rust prevention and protection
against chemicals and harsh environments. Four
types available: The triple convoluted air spring
is ideal for lift axles to accommodate higher load
carrying capacities with improved road handling
and ride quality; the double convoluted air spring
is primarily used for drive axles and trailer suspensions,
providing improved ride quality and cargo
protection; reversible (rolling lobe) air spring deliver
a cushioned ride for less bounce than steel springs
for a smoother ride; cab mount air springs provide a
cushion of air to the truck cab to isolate vibrations
and noise ensuring an optimal working environment
for the driver.
