Ricoh Finds Success, Launches High-Speed Production Printer at GRAPH EXPO 16 GRAPH EXPO proves to be a source of great success for Ricoh year after year. Ricoh USA, Inc. (Booth 2035) will unveil the Ricoh Pro 8220s series, its latest highspeed black and white digital print platform series, at GRAPH EXPO 16 on Monday, September 26. “Today’s production print environments, especially those focused on book printing, benefi t from and often require fl exibility,” notes the company. “The need to meet fast turn times and shifting deadlines, and have the ability to print on thick and coated media for attractive color inserts to illustrate key points, can help printers fi nd the capacity to take on new jobs quickly and effi ciently.” The RICOH Pro 8220s series addresses these needs by offering tight registration and a new High Capacity Interposer (HCI). The HCI is a two-tray system with 1,750-sheet-per-tray capacity for post-fusing insertion of front and back covers or color inserts, printed on offset or digital printers, into books and manuals. “Production print operations are defi ned by what they produce, their ability to meet deadlines, and fulfi ll job requirements,” says John Fulena, Vice President, Production Printing Business Group, Ricoh USA, Inc. “The RICOH Pro 8220s series empowers printers to produce a wide variety of applications very quickly and efficiently by eliminating manual steps, making scanning quick and simple, and making adding covers and inserts swift and hands-off. This is a device for the future of high-speed production.” The RICOH Pro 8220s series maintains its 1,200x4,800 dpi VCSEL quality on a wide variety of media, including coated media, up to 350 gsm simplex and 256 duplex, and is capable of long sheet printing up to 27.5". The multifunction printer models’ Single Pass Document Feeder has similar media capabilities, scanning in full color at 220 ipm duplex, a high watermark for scanning in the industry. Ricoh is showcasing new and enhanced hardware, software, and services solutions. Not only will the portfolio be on display, but so will the voice of Ricoh’s valued customers via video testimonials and its production print business consultants. “While GRAPH EXPO 16 may be in a different location this year, Ricoh’s commitment to opening new possibilities for our customers remains the same,” says Fulena. “Our market leadership continues to grow, our portfolio continues to expand to address new market trends, and our value add to our customers continues to be evident. That last statement is exemplifi ed by the fact that GAM, MGX Copy, and VISOgraphic–three impressive printing companies who spoke on our behalf at GRAPH EXPO 15-have all expanded their product line with Ricoh, and we remain dedicated to helping them, and our full roster of customers, see continued business growth.” Additionally, Ricoh pointed out four customers who have expanded their relationships with Ricoh since GRAPH EXPO 15, driven by Ricoh’s commitment to help them reach their business goals. GAM Graphics and Marketing, Heeter, MGX Copy, and VISOgraphic Inc. have made signifi cant strides since announcing their successes with Ricoh–so much so that each customer has added Pro C9100 series platforms to its operation. “Ricoh’s commitment to my business is evident each and every day,” says Nathaniel Grant, President, GAM Graphics and Marketing, who added a fi ve-color RICOH Pro C7110X series platform to his shop last year. “Thanks to this level of trust, I’ve invested more in equipment and software through Ricoh–including a new Pro C9110 and an additional Pro C7110x digital press, fi nishing equipment, and color management solutions. It’s incredible how Ricoh has helped grow our capabilities, from adding fi ve-color options to workhorse high-volume presses, and it’s been received very well by our clients.” Innovations showcased at the booth include not only the new Pro8220s, but also the Pro C9100, Pro C7100X, Pro VC60000, Pro L4160, the TotalFlow product suite 4,1, and the Ricoh Consulting Group.
