Product Spotlight Stamping, Embossing, and Die Cutting Press THERM-O-TYPE (Booth 2535) is introducing the NSF Ultra foil stamping, embossing, and die cutting press at GRAPH EXPO 16. The Ultra is ideal for fi nishing and enhancing digital output, and can also be used to die cut and score pocket/ presentation folders. The NSF Ultra has a maximum sheet size of 23.5x29", and a maximum impression area of 16.5x23.13". Creaser Morgana Systems (Booth 2434) is releasing the AutoCreaser Pro 385. One of the key changes from previous models is the introduction of a high-capacity vacuum top-feeder that can take a sheet pile of some 17.5". Once the size and thickness of stock are entered, all other feeder functions including air and vacuum settings, and side guide positions are automatically adjusted for quick and easy setup of jobs. Stock of up to 0.015" (approx. 150 pounds) can be creased with no cracking of the sheets or the toner on them. Compact Press The compact and versatile manroland web systems (Booth 1119) GEOMAN e:line was developed with a focus on economy, with short changeover times and effi cient Inline Control systems for the automatic control of quality in production runs. This makes it ideally suited for medium-sized newspaper printing houses. With its high quality coldset inking unit and the arrangement of its cylinders, the press allows parallel preparation, high speed, and reliable printing quality. The fl exibility offered by the GEOMAN e:line is unmatched, with its modular design, the press can be gradually upgraded and retrofi tted with many options over time. Color Inkjet Printer Kirk-Rudy, Inc. (Booth 1771) is showcasing KolorJet, a premier high-speed color inkjet printing system. It is engineered to print envelopes, direct mail, and transactional pieces with outstanding four-color quality at incredible speeds. A box of 10-pound envelopes can be printed in one minute at 600 dpi. Kirk-Rudy’s XJet user interface software makes the KolorJet easy to use and operate with the fl exibility to add new features. Auto-servicing print heads minimize down time and ensure consistent, reliable operation. Production Inkjet Press Xerox (Booth 1625) is showcasing its new Brenva HD Production Inkjet Press, which combines the cost effectiveness of inkjet with the fl exibilities of f a cut-sheet platform for print providers in light direct mail, transactional, and book markets. Incorporating many of the proven paper-path components of the Xerox iGen, the Xerox Brenva HD offers best-in-class automation and reliability to maximize press productivity. Advanced features include an inline spectrophotometer to assist with calibration and automated profi ling; object-oriented color management to distinguish text, graphics, and images that optimize the quality of each accordingly; and a K-only mode for cost effective monochrome printing. Color Wide-Format Device Ricoh USA, Inc. (Booth 2035)5) unveiled the compact Ricoh MP CW2201SP. With the ability to securely scan can documents directly to a variety of destinations, including USB, SD card, email, folders, URL, FTP, and document servers, this device helps ensure all collaborators are on the same page quickly. And when those collaborators need to be literally on the same page, high-quality, 1200x1200 dpi printing moves lightning-fast, producing color pages at a rate of 2.1 ppm, twice as fast as its predecessor. Light Production Press Canon’s (Booth 1500) imagePRESS C65 was developed for advertising agencies, graphic design studios, packaging design, and architectural fi rms. Short warm-up time and output speeds of up to 65 images per minute help enable creative professionals to bring their vision to life even faster. 2400x2400 dpi resolution combined with the renowned imagePRESS Gloss Optimization technology and the highest color consistency in its class deliver vibrant, reproducible image quality excellence. Check out a wealth of print samples from this new press at the Canon booth. Web-To-Print PressWise by SmartSoft (Booth 2384) will be showing the latest enhancements to its all-in-one Web-to-print, MIS, and workfl ow automation platform. These include all-new Kitting functionality, new purchasing capabilities, including the creation of POs, single sign-on capabilities for in-plant print shops, and a number of other new features. Cut Sheet, Color Inkjet Printer Riso Inc. (Booth 1248) is showcasing its fi fth generation of cut sheet, color inkjet printer at this year’s GRAPH EXPO: The ComColor FW series. The ComColor FW series is 33% slimmer than previous models due to an integrated facedown tray, and has a newly redesigned full-color touch panel that is completely adjustable and customizable. The output of the FW series is 120 pages per minute in full color. The scanner can scan both sides of a duplex document simultaneously, at a rate of 100 pages per minute. The new printer line is designed to serve the requirements 00 pages printer ned reof of the the kjet”“Business Inkjet” market segment – those end users who ho require the high production speed speed and and advanced capabilities that a RISO can provide, but do not necessarily require the high volume output of a production printer. Command WorkStation EFI’s (Booth 1349) Fiery Command WorkStation version 6 expands its print job and device management interface to support all Fiery servers. This means that Fiery servers driving toner-based cut sheet, wide- and superwide format and high speed inkjet devices in a print site can be managed in the same user interface while enabling tools that are appropriate for each print technology. Version 6 also offers an updated interface to provide faster ways to control print jobs, access Fiery tools, and gain insight into print operations. LED UV Curing Solution Air Motion Systems (B Booth oth 2825) is showcasing its XP9 Series LED UV curing solution at GRAPH EXPO 16. The extension to the XP line offers the highest curing intensity available on the market (up to 25W/cm2), longer LED chip lives (as many as 30,000 hours), and an optional MultiWave upgrade, which enables the use of a greater variety of inks, including some traditional UV inks, by delivering multiple wavelengths to the substrate. XP9 units employ AMS’s Peak Optics technology, which makes it possible for the lamp to be positioned as far as 150mm (6") away from the substrate while still delivering full curing intensity. Additionally, units can be built as small as 75mm (3") and as large as 3.6m (142”) wide, making them ideal for a host of presses, including high-speed offset setups. AMS’s XP Series LED UV curing systems use signifi cantly less power than traditional UV systems, eliminate mercury, ozone, heat, and powder from press rooms, and help sheetfed offset printers put an end to issues like scuffing and marking. 44 | September 25, 2016 | GRAPH EXPO 16 Offi cial Show Daily | PrintingNews.com
