ING Annual Conference Shared Innovative Ideas for Newspaper Publishers Hyatt Regency hosted annual newspaper conference on Friday and Saturday The International Newspaper Group (ING) held its 2016 Annual Conference at the Hyatt Regency in Orlando, FL on Friday, September 23, and Saturday, September 24, 2016. The conference is a gathering of like minds, and features expert panelists from across the publishing industry who were on-site to share innovative ideas, cost savings initiatives, and best practices. The weekend conference kicked off with an engaging reception at the Hyatt, on Friday, September 23, where attendees found conviviality with industry executives at the vendor sponsored pre-conference cocktail party. The conference programs started Saturday morning on September 24. Preparing Tomorrow’s Workforce This GAERF programs are designed to support a strong future for the industry to include competencies, assessments, accreditation programs, and more. The GAERF SkillsUSA (Booth 571)partnership delivers fi ve online PrintED/SkillsUSA Skill Connect Assessments to provide successful completers with a student certifi cation to validate their mastery of academic and workplace competencies. GAERF also provides scholarships to students who participate in the advertising design, graphic communications, and screen printing technology contests held at the SkillsUSA Championships, an annual event showcasing the top career and technical education students in the nations.
